My first week off

I got my classroom all set for summer, and took home lots of Art History stuff to go over for my notes. I spent my first week off being lazy, dating and reading magazines I have had pile up. yay! Can I just say how great VegNews is? Oh, and I go to the gym 6 days a week. I have lost 20 lbs since I left my ex in April, yay!!!

I have been cooking, made a great Ratatouille with steamed brown rice yesterday. Tried out my Cuisinart Griddler and made blueberry pancakes. Then I switched the plates and grilled zucchini with a rosemary lime marinade. I have been going to the local farm market for produce.

Not much else to report for now :)

Karen, about your notes at my blog (thanks for visiting!), i have not yet used the Bragg's apple cider vinegar, tho i have it in my cupboard!

And the Labrador (who is pictured elsewhere on my blog) is Peter's senior rescue, Heidi. She's about the same age as Mattie, somewhere around 10 or 11. With rescues, you never really know!

Please stay in touch! :o)

MMM....
grilled zucchini with a rosemary lime marinade.

This sounds pretty good! I have a rosemary plant growing rather large in my herb bed, I'd say it's time fortrimming.

I just noticed we are chef mod's together on veggin' out. Welcome pardner.

About the rosemary. I plant mine higher in my herb bed. I did this by placing large stones arounf the center of my herb bed .... basically I created a mini raised "bed" in the middle of my herb garden. I water this every third time I water the rest of my plants. The extra raised "bed" for this plant allows for better drainage. It doesn't like wet roots, make sure that after the watering it can dry up pretty quick (good drainage).
